]]>You might recognize these two. They are true Inner West legends.
Lance Brooks, founder of Communities for Communities and Rev. Bill Crews, who started the Exodus Foundation in Ashfield.
I would like to thank both of these gents for their ongoing contributions to our area and thank all the volunteers in Reid who achieve amazing things. Our community wouldn’t be the same without you! #NVW2016

]]>Do you spot any familiar faces from our Reid Community Cup?
Despite not winning a single game in the Cup, Communities for Communities have recovered and are heading back to Indonesia in July with another group of local volunteers to build even more homes!

]]>I am pleased to kick start the week by announcing that the first team up for the Reid Community Cup is Communities for Communities.
Founded by Lance Brooks in 2002, Communites for Communities is a Drummoyne based charity whose work is not just felt in the community locally, but makes a real difference in communities overseas.
Since 2002, they have raised approximately $2 million which has been put towards funding homes and community facilities in South East Asian villages and has also gone some way towards funding a hydrotherapy facility at Lucas Gardens School in Five Dock.
To find out more about their work or how you can help them, visit www.communitiesforcommunities.com.au
The work undertaken by Communities for Communities is integral in the Canada Bay area and I am looking forward to them joining the match line up for the Reid Community Cup.
