]]> Having people with appropriate trade skills is critical to our economy. As things stand we simply do not have enough electricians, plumbers or gas fitters. It is vital that we encourage and support young people to learn a trade and take up an apprenticeship.

The Government is making a $200 million annual investment in the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network targeted at increasing the rate of completion of apprenticeships.

This week’s official opening of the Master Plumbers College of Excellence, with Minister MacFarlane, provides the community with the tools it needs to facilitate the training and certification of the next generation of our tradespeople.
