I was thrilled to join my many Italian Friends in Five Dock to celebrate Ferragosto which is an Italian national holiday celebrated on August 15.
Despite the poor weather, the heavy rain failed to dampen the wonderful Italian-Australian spirit at one of the most iconic and best loved festivals in Sydney. Each year, Ferragosto attracts more than 50,000 visitors each year and I would like to congratulate and thank all the organisers and sponsors of the festival, as well as the council and all the locals who worked so hard to bring this magnificent event together.
The highlight was definitely Elevate’s dance performance – but maybe I’m just biased as my daughter Analise was part of the team!
