I am incredibly saddened to hear of the tragic news overnight that the Indonesian Government went ahead with the execution of Australians Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan. Two individuals who, over the past 10 years, rehabilitated themselves and helped make a positive difference on those imprisoned alongside them.
I can’t put it better than the words of our Foreign Minister on Sunday when she said that from this action “nothing can be gained and much will be lost.”
