I had the opportunity to address an audience of 160 senior business leaders at a Sydney Olympic Park Business Association forum yesterday to speak about the Federal Government’s vision for Western Sydney and our Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan.
Western Sydney is Australia’s third largest economy and has a projected population growth from two to three million over the next 20 years. We have developed a long term economic strategy that will reshape how people in this region live and work.
The Australian and NSW Governments are working together to deliver on our shared plan to build a stronger and more prosperous Western Sydney with the announcement of the $3.5 billion Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan. Major works include Badgerys Creek Airport, WestConnex, and the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal.
This joint commitment to build world class infrastructure throughout Western Sydney is projected to create thousands of jobs and boost the local economy.
