After just over a year of having the great honour of representing the people of Reid in Federal Parliament, I am often frustrated that it’s only the adversarial debates between the government and opposition that receive the coverage.
But I have good friends on both sides of the house, like Jason Clare whom I often work with as we handle issues in the local community. On Saturday we both participated in “Walk Together” – a walk to celebrate the diversity and harmony that makes Australia so great. During difficult times political leaders, like all leaders in our community, need to work together.
