Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW Day) gives us the opportunity to show our support for the valuable work of Australia’s State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers. The SES are of crucial importance not just in Reid, but throughout the country. Only last month, emergency crews were assisting residents across the city and beyond after a savage storm tore through the state wreaking havoc on homes, roads and public transport.
Each year our 40,000 SES Volunteers provide approximately a million hours of their time to help communities in times of natural disasters and emergencies, so let’s show our support to our SES volunteers and spread the message today.
