On Tuesday, I had the honour of being sworn in as the Assistant Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science within the Turnbull Liberal Government.

The future of Australian industry, the economy and jobs lies within our ability to innovate, expand and adapt. I’m eager to begin working with, and listening to, the leaders within these fields as we work towards a modernised new economy. Advances in technology are transforming every aspect of our lives and our support of innovation and science are critical to deliver future growth and prosperity.

While I am no longer the Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs, I will continue to passionately support multiculturalism both within Reid and Australia as a whole. Multiculturalism is such an important foundation of our society and I consider it an absolute privilege to have served as the Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs.

Furthermore, I welcome the appointment of Zed Seselja as the new Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs. Zed has tremendous experience and character – I know he’ll do well in the position and will passionately represent our multicultural communities.

It’s never been a more exciting time to be an Australian and I look forward to furthering our fantastic, world class innovative industries.

And please never forget that my office is always available to discuss the local issues important to our area.

Craig.
