I was pleased to be joined by the Treasurer at RØDE Microphones in Silverwater today.
We were given a tour of the company’s state-of-the-art plant by founder and CEO Peter Freedman, who transformed this local family-owned business into a globally recognised brand.
RØDE Microphones is the quintessential Australian success story, and flies in the face of people who claim that manufacturing is dead in this country.This year alone, RØDE will produce more than 500,000 units at its manufacturing plant in Silverwater and export its products to over one hundred countries throughout the world.
It is remarkable to think that this global company began as a shopfront in Ashfield.
