I had a great time with great friends last night at the Shree Ram Katha Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Sri Mandir Auburn Temple. Sri Mandir, the oldest Hindu Temple in Australia, was established in 1977 to meet the religious, social and cultural needs of our rapidly growing Hindu community. It brings me great pride and joy to see how far the Sri Mandir community has come in the last 40 years and I am proud of Australia’s unique ability to welcome, live and celebrate with everyone from all different walks of life. Thanks to everyone who organised last night’s event – I am sure everyone who was shared as much fun and enjoyment as I did!
